Chief of the Binghamton and Johnson City Police Departments Joseph Zikuski has announced the official addition of two new canine handlers and partners. Binghamton Police Officer Doug Chavez and his K9 partner Dona and Johnson City Police Officer Nick Crandall and his K9 partner Cruz officially graduated from the Basic Canine Academy. Cruz is a canine purchased by Officer Crandall and put through the canine academy, while Dona was purchased through the department.
