The New York State Attorney General’s Office will be sponsoring a gun buyback program in Binghamton on Saturday. From 9:30 am to 12:30, the buyback will be held at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 478 on Carroll Street. Working and non-working, unloaded, firearms will be accepted. $25 will be given for antique or non-working firearms, $50 for rifles and shotguns, $75 for handguns, and $100 for assault weapons. All guns must be taken to the drop-off site in the trunk of a car, unloaded and in a plastic or paper bag or box. There is no limit on how many guns can be returned.
