A car crash sent two elderly women to the hospital after they ran a red light and were struck by a truck. The crash took place Wednesday morning in the Town of Union at the intersection of Hooper Road and Watson Boulevard. According to police, a town truck side swiped the two women that drove through the light as the women were heading east on Watson Boulevard. At least one of the women had to be extracted from the car, according to reports. Both were rushed to UHS Wilson Medical Center with unknown injuries. Broome County Sheriff’s deputies will be issuing tickets for the incident.
