The Pennsylvania State Police Department is currently being sued by the United States Department of Justice for discriminatory training. The Department of Justice is saying that the standards for male training, should be different than the standards for female training. Despite the law suit, the Pennsylvania State Police Commissioner argues that the job for both male and female troopers requires the same level of fitness. Currently, 98% of men and 76% of women pass the test.
