Two Broome County residents were arrested after allegedly stealing scrap metal. 28-year-old Derek Greco of Endicott, and 25-year-old Shelissa Cole of Endwell were charged with criminal trespassing and petit larceny. The arrest resulted from a report of two suspects possibly stealing scrap metal from the rail road work near Airport Road and Bornt Hill Road in the town of Union. By the time police arrived the suspects had about 20 pieces of scrap metal in the back of their Chevrolet pick-up truck worth about $50. Both Greco and Cole were issued tickets returnable to the town of Union Court on August 19th.
