It is Columbus Day today. And if you have the day off, you can head to downtown Binghamton for the Columbus Day Tournament of bands parade! Festivities are scheduled to start at 10 this morning. Binghamton Mayor Rich David will be hosting a flag raising today. The parade will start at Arthur and Main Streets finishing on State Street. This year get ready for the competition featuring high school bands, color guard and drum majors. After the show, the annual Italian Festival will take place near Boscovs. It’s the 55th year for the parade.
