Crews were called out to a garage fire in Kirkwood around 4 p.m. yesterday afternoon. The fire broke out in a detached garage on 713 Old State Rd., just across the street from a fire station. Just 20 minutes after finishing cutting the grass, residents saw smoke and contacted the fire department. The flames were put out shortly after and firefighters sifted through the wreckage once the fire was under control. No one was injured at this fire.
