With construction season coming to an end, some projects throughout the area look like they still have a long way to go. Phase one of the Riverside Drive reconstruction, was expected to be completed by the beginning of November. However, as of Monday it is two weeks behind the original timeline. It is expected to be finished before Thanksgiving Day. Other projects, like the North St. and McKinley Ave. Project in Endicott, have more significant delays in their timeline. The Endicott project was originally expected to be complete in September of this year. However, it will not be completed until spring of 2015. Good news for the holiday travel, the New York State Department of Transportation said it will halt major projects on I-81, like the Prospect Mountain Project, to avoid holiday congestion. That project will halt on Wednesday and resume after the holiday.
