SUNY Broome President Dr. Kevin Drumm spoke with the Binghamton Rotary Club yesterday about new projects the college is looking to tackle in the coming years. Dr. Drumm said that one of these goals is to make campus buildings more energy efficient. This would be in addition to SUNY Broome’s Natural Science Center, which opened in the fall of 2013, and has since received a LEED Green Building certification. Dr. Drumm also announced that the college is looking to finalize its honors program, which is scheduled to start next fall. In addition, Dr. Drumm said that the college is looking to strengthen its relationship with Binghamton University, as well as back the casino industry if a casino license is approved for either Broome or Tioga counties.
