A woman from Troy died Friday after sustaining fatal injuries from an auto-pedestrian accident. Betty Jackson was crossing Elmira Street in the Borough of Troy at around 6 pm on Wednesday. When she entered the roadway, she was struck by a woman who was traveling east. The driver did not suffer any injuries. Jackson, however, was taken to Troy Hospital for treatment. She died two days later due to multiple traumatic injuries sustained during the crash.
