Another arrest has been made in connection to an accident that occurred on the Court Street Bridge in Binghamton on March 7, when a woman was found pinned between a vehicle and the stone railing of the bridge. The victim sustained a severe injury to her leg which resulted in part of her leg being amputated. Police had already arrested the driver of the vehicle Nutanie Saysanavong of Johnson City. She is charged with driving while intoxicated. After an investigation a second person was arrested. Duane Felton Jr. of Binghamton is charged with assault in the first degree. At the time of the incident, Felton was identified as the front seat passenger in the vehicle. Police said Felton is suspected of grabbing hold of the steering wheel, turning it and causing the vehicle to veer sharply off the road and onto the sidewalk into pedestrians. The New York State Police Accident Reconstruction Unit has been assisting in the investigation.
