The roof of a building collapsed just after noon yesterday in the village of Waverly. The building located at 437 Fulton Street was vacant at the time of the collapse. Streets were closed yesterday afternoon near the area. The building has been a trending issue for officials in the village for the past two years. The Waverly mayor called an emergency executive session after the collapse, where it was determined the building must come down. Demolition is set to begin this afternoon.
