A tractor trailer carrying 4,000 gallons of liquid manure flipped over on a road in Lisle last night, spilling all the waste into a ditch. New York State Police responded to a report of a tractor trailer spill in the area of 1448 Caldwell Hill Road at approximately 6:11 p.m. An investigation determined that the driver, Charles Clute, was headed northbound on the road, and drifted partly onto the soft shoulder, then overturned into the east ditch. The tractor trailer came to rest in the ditch on its passenger side, where it then dumped the 4,000 gallons of liquid manure into the ditch, roadway and private property surrounding the area. The accident and spill are under investigation.
