Suspended Binghamton Police Officer Kristi Sager has withdrawn her gender discrimination complaint alleging sexual harassment following a hearing yesterday. Sager, Binghamton Police Chief Joseph Zikuski and attorneys all met at the regional office of the New York Human Rights Division in Binghamton. An hour and a half later, all parties emerged from the State Office Building with no comment. Sager was suspended, pending termination, for leaving the scene of a car accident in February and other alleged misconduct. However, Sager had said the suspension came only after she refused multiple sexual advances from Zikuski that occurred both on and off the job since 2006. Zikuski was placed on paid administrative leave while the allegations were being investigated. According to the City, Mayor Rich David will make a decision regarding Chief Joseph Zikuski after reviewing the results of an independent report on the police department, by Coughlin and Gerhart.
