Binghamton Mayor Rich David said a decision on the future employment of Police Chief Joseph Zikuski could come as early as today. Zikuski was placed on paid administrative leave in March, after Binghamton police officer Kristi Sager filed a sexual discrimination complaint with the New York State Division of Human Rights. It claimed Zikuski made advances toward her. The firm Coughlin and Gerhart has been compiling an independent report on the police department. Mayor Rich David said that report is now being finalized and he expects to receive the complete report sometime this week. Assistant Police Chief William Yeager was chosen by David in March to take over as acting police chief while Zikuski is on leave.
