The Elmira Police Department is investigating reported shots fired yesterday in the area of Harmon St. near West Hudson St. around 12:30 pm. Police determined a black male was shooting a handgun at a white male riding a bicycle. The victim has not been located or identified, but police discovered blood at the scene. Police found several .22 caliber shell casings that led to a nearby residence on West Henry St. The Elmira Police Department and the Chemung County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team executed a search warrant at the residence and found several guns there. Anyone with information is asked to call Elmira police at 607-737-5626.
