Fire crews were sent to Wagner Lumber in Nineveh yesterday evening. Both the Afton Fire Department, as well as the Harpursville Fire Department responded to reports of flames in the walls. A source on scene has confirmed that a fire did indeed occur, however, the full extent of the damage is unknown at this time. This comes after Wagner Lumber’s mill in Owego caught fire back in February of 2014. Though crews began work on rebuilding their Owego facility last August, there are still several employees of the former Owego mill, travelling to the Nineveh mill for work.
