Children across six local counties will soon be benefiting from a $10,000 grant given to the Food Bank of the Southern Tier. The money is being given through the Red Nose Day Fund, and is being used to fund the food bank’s BackPack program, which, for $3, feeds children through the weekend. The Food Bank of the Southern Tier’s BackPack program serves 2,850 children each week.
