Ithaca Police Officers may soon be able to live rent free. The City’s Administration Council approved a resolution which would allow police to live rent-free in targeted areas throughout the city. The officers would serve as good neighbors and professional witnesses while off duty in those areas. The landlord would cover the cost of rent. The resolution still needs to be passed by Ithaca’s Common Council.
