Several Southern Tier State Parks Receive NYS Grant Money

Several state parks in the Southern Tier are receiving a portion of $450,000 is state funding to boost tourism. Chenango Valley State Park, as well as Robert H. Treman, Buttermilk Falls, Taughannock Falls, Fillmore Glen, Watkins Glen, and Stony Brook State Parks will receive funding.

Just under $6,000 will be given to the Friends of Chenango Valley State Park to purchase supplies for an interpretive center at the park, build an outdoor theater, and build recycling centers for camp grounds.

$4,750 will be given to the Friends of Gorge Parks to provide continued upkeep.

18 other state park organizations across New York will receive a portion of this funding as well.
