Rachel Davenport and Diego the Chinchilla of the Binghamton Zoo at Ross Park joined us on the WEBO Morning Show today to share some exciting news and more information on some upcoming events.
The Binghamton Zoo at Ross Park is asking for your help in naming their recently born baby porcupine. The newest porcupine was born at the Binghamton Zoo on St. Patrick’s Day to second-time parents Mattie and Zoey. Mattie and Zoey had their first child, Norwan, on Father’s day last year. To vote on a new name, you can go to the zoo’s website at RossParkZoo.com. Possible names listed on the zoo’s website for the new porcupine include: Paddy, Clover, Lucky, Goldie, Fitz, and Rainbow.
And just a reminder, the Binghamton Zoo’s “Eggstravaganza” event is this weekend, from noon until 3 on the 26th and 27th. There will be an egg hunt, face painting, games, and crafts for the kids. Tickets are $6 for members and $8 for non-members.
