The Union-Endicott School District is one step closer to receiving a piece of a $50 Million grant. Union-Endicott applied for the “Super School Project” to help convert their former Linnaeus W West Elementary school into a combined alternative high school and business incubator. 700 proposals were initially accepted into the national grant competition, after the last round of eliminations, only 348 proposals remain. After this round of review, only five proposals will remain and receive a promised $10 million. Union-Endicott will now have until May 23rd to fine tune their proposal. The five national winners are expected to be chosen in August.
