Construction could soon begin on the Chemung Street Bridge that crosses Cayuta Creek in Waverly. Construction on the bridge has been planned for several months, however, a work contract has just been awarded. The contract has been given to Economy Paving of Cortland. Economy Paving submitted the least expensive bid, coming in at $3,773,000. Construction is expected to last through the Fall of 2017.
