Waverly is getting a new convenience store. Mayor Dan Leary says a new Dandy Mini Mart will be constructed at the intersection of Route 34 and Chemung Street. The proposed 5,500-square-foot store will be located at the former gas station property across from Sisters Family Restaurant. It will be the 65th store in the Dandy convenience chain and owned by Williams Companies. They hope to have the store built and open for business by the end of this year.
