A mother and father are being charged with manslaughter in connection to the sudden death of their 5-year-old son earlier this year. 45-year-old Charles Burks, and 40-year-old Jennifer Burks, both of Endicott, are said to have given their son oxycodone. Their son died of an overdose on the drug. Following the boy’s death on May 7th, Charles and Jennifer Burks moved to a North Carolina campground unannounced. Communication between the Endicott Police Department, and North Carolina authorities led to the couple’s arrest.
