Faculty in Pennsylvania’s state university system has voted to allow their union to call a strike if necessary. The strike would come after nearly two years of unsuccessful contract negotiations between college faculty and state organizations. Disagreements over wages, health insurance, and faculty workloads are the main causes of the contract disagreements. While a strike has not officially been called for, it now could. If a strike were to happen, roughly 100,000 students would be affected.
