Sayre Borough has collected $40,000 in delinquent sewer fees in a recent push for payment which started last month. At the beginning of August, Sayre was owed nearly $110,000 by residents who had not paid their sewage bill. That number now sits at about $70,000. A majority of the remaining money owed is expected to be paid back in payment plans. Sayre officials say that individuals who have not paid delinquent fees or set up a payment plan with the borough will have services cutoff to their property.
