Tomorrow is Election Day and there are several local elections taking place.

That includes Tioga County, where Dennis Mullen is running against Patrick Ayers to represent District Five of the county legislature. Mullen, a retired member of the State Police, was appointed earlier this year following the death of Legislator Ray Case. He is now running for a full term against Ayers, who currently serves as a trustee and deputy mayor in the Village of Waverly and owns Broad Street Records. District five includes Waverly and the Town of Barton.

In Broome County, incumbent County Executive and Republican Debbie Preston is running for reelection against Democratic challenger Jason Garnar. Preston has served as County Executive since 2012 while Garnar has been a county legislator since 2006.

There are other local and state elections happening tomorrow. You are encouraged to view a sample ballot for your voting district on your county’s Board of Elections website. If you’re unsure of your voting district or polling place, you can call your county’s Board of Elections.
