Chemung County Legislators have approved the creation of a C-TRAN bus stop at Tioga Downs for next year. The bus stop will be along an already established route between Elmira and Owego. The New York State Department of Transportation is expected to contribute $45,000 over the next two years to continue funding the inter-county bussing service agreement. The Tioga County Legislature is expected to vote on the inter-county bussing agreement, as well as, the proposed Tioga County budget for 2017 tonight. Tonight’s legislative meeting is scheduled to begin at 6pm in the Tioga County Office Building on Main Street in Owego.
