The National Weather Service in Binghamton has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the Southern Tier from 4-10am tomorrow. The weather service says a wintry mix of freezing rain and sleet will move into the area between 4 and 7am, leaving a thin ice coating on roadways and other surfaces. The mixture is expected to change to rain sometime Tuesday morning as temperatures rise into the 30s.
