A Chemung County man is facing charges after allegedly choking his wife unconscious during a domestic dispute on Saturday. The Chemung County Sheriff’s Office is accusing 33-year-old Matthew Stephenson of choking and assaulting his wife in their Pine City home at 7am Saturday. Their child was in the house at the time. Stephenson is now charged with a felony for choking and a misdemeanor for endangering the welfare of a child.
