The Owego Little League will begin their 66th season on Saturday, April 29 with their annual Opening Day parade from the Owego Police Department to Hyde Park. This year marks the 50th year that the baseball and softball teams have called Hyde Park home. The parade will begin forming at 8am Saturday, and the on-field ceremonies will start at 9am at Hyde Park. Games will begin at 10:30am. Opening weekend will continue on Sunday, as Hyde Park hosts a free Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit & Run event at 10am and a home run derby at 1pm for boys and girls ages 7-14.
