Sunday was a busy day of racing on WEBO, as we carried both the Indianapolis 500 and the Coca-Cola 600. As heard early in the day, Takuma Sato became the first Japanese winner of the Indianapolis 500 when he denied Helio Castroneves a fourth victory at the “Greatest Spectacle of Racing.” It was the second straight Indy 500 victory for team owner Michael Andretti. Later in the day, Austin Dillon won the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte after Jimmie Johnson ran out of fuel with two laps to go. It was the first NASCAR Cup victory for Dillon, who drives the iconic number 3 for his grandfather Richard Childress. Sunday was the first victory for that car since it was piloted by Dale Earnhardt.
