An Endwell man is facing charges in Johnson City after police say he tried to set fire to a multi-family apartment building on Monday. Police accuse 42-year-old Belven Fajardo of trying to set fire to 197 Grand Avenue with two Molotov Cocktails just before 5pm Monday. They say it was a continuation of a domestic dispute from earlier in the day when Fajardo damaged the victim’s cell phone. The man was taken into custody at his home and charged with a felony count of attempted arson and a misdemeanor count of criminal mischief. He was sent to the Broome County Jail without bail after arraignment.
