The Endicott Police Department will form a new two-man patrol team that will be focused on responding to disorderly conduct and drug activity across the village. The “Response and Interdiction Patrol Team” will use different methods to identify problem criminals and target specific locations in the village. Chief Patrick Garey says since this will be their only detail, the RIP team officers can work different hours and won’t have to worry about other police work. The team will begin patrols next Wednesday.
