Tioga Downs hosted New York Sire Stakes racing during a special Fourth of July card yesterday. The program is designed to promote the breeding, buying, and racing of standardbred horses across the state. Horses are broken into divisions, and Tioga Downs hosted four sire stakes races yesterday. The most exciting of them was in the freshman colts division, where Clive Bigsby and driver Chris Lems came from behind to edge Six Pack at the wire. Other winners yesterday were Cruising In Style in the two-year-old trotting colts division, Fashion Forever in the baby trotters division, and Fourth Dimension in the freshman trotters division. Racing will return to Tioga Downs Friday.
