The Tioga United Way will hold a fitness challenge fundraiser on Aug. 12 at Yeaman Athletics on Southside Drive in Owego. People of all fitness levels are invited to take part in the challenge, where they will be asked to complete as many rounds as possible of a variety of exercises planned by Yeaman Athletics owner Joey Yaman. In addition to raising funds for the United Way and its partner agencies, the event aims to shed light on the importance of healthy living. Each participant is encouraged to find friends and family to sponsor their efforts. To register, stop by the gym at 103 Southside Drive or visit tiogaunitedway.com. The registration fee is $20. Yaman teamed up with Owego Police Officer Tommy Woodburn to come up with the fun, creative fundraiser. They were on today’s WEBO Morning Show. You can listen to the full interview below.
