The Waverly teenager killed in a car crash in Tioga County, Pennsylvania has been identified. 16-year-old Paul Girolamo, was declared dead at the scene of the crash on Bungy Road in Sullivan township on Saturday.
Authorities said he lost control of his car and struck a telephone pole. Police said he was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash.
Paul attended Waverly High School where he played football, basketball, baseball and was a 2 time Section IV badminton mixed double champion. He was a member of the National Honor Society, was one of the top 5 in his class and played saxophone in the school band.
Calling hours will be held at Blauvelt Funeral Home in Waverly, N.Y. on Tuesday (7/22) from 1 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made in Paul’s name to the Wounded Warrior Project.
