The New York State Police arrested 57-year-old Rusty McConnell and 41-year-old April Westbrook in the theft of 37 brake drums from Sandbox Logistics in Kirkwood. It is alleged that on several occasions McConnell and Westbrook had dropped off the stolen brake drums as scrap metal for cash in the city of Binghamton. While at these recycling locations McConnell had signed several business records saying that the scrap brake drums were his. McConnell was charged with Falsifying Business Records; Westbrook was charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property.
