A 27-year-old man was shot in Binghamton Monday night. The victim was walking on Bigelow Street when a black male exited an SUV and fired several shots at the victim. The suspect also hit a residence and a vehicle. Police believe that this is not random violence, but a targeted shooting. The suspect is a black male about 5 feet 6 inches with a stocky build, gray hoodie and mask. The victim was transported to the hospital, where he was treated for a single would to his buttocks. Also, a police cruiser responding to the scene, was involved in a collision at Robinson Street and Broad Avenue. There were no injuries in the collision. Anyone with information that would be useful to the investigation is asked to call the Binghamton Police Detective Bureau at 607-772-7080.
