Last Friday, the New York State Police responded to a motor vehicle accident called into Broome County 911. The accident, in the Town of Deposit in Delaware County, involved a dump truck hauling stone from a quarry. The vehicle overturned on an access road. 66-year-old William Barse of Sidney was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy will be performed at Lourdes Hospital in Binghamton. The State Police’s Commercial Enforcement Unit and the Bureau of Criminal Investigation are investigating.
