October is domestic violence awareness month and in effort to spread the message A New Hope Center held its 3rd annual ‘Purple Pooches on Parade’ on Sunday.People and pets dressed in purple to help raise awareness. A New Hope Center provides services to help with domestic violence, counseling and more. They say abuse can take many forms, including financial, emotional, mental, or using tactics that include children, money, and pets. The color purple is meant to symbolize peace, courage, survival, honor and dedication to ending violence.
