A SUNY Broome freshman has died in a car crash. Campus officials say Miranda Gifford, of Rome, NY, died late Wednesday from injuries she sustained in a car crash. The school says Gifford was a Homeland Security major and an athlete for both the Hornets softball and basketball teams.SUNY Broome is offering counseling for students in Student Services Room 210.
