The Ithaca Police are warning residents that multiple people are soliciting door-to-door without a valid solicitor permit. The people soliciting have represented themselves as independent contractors of Celtic Corp LLC, Prime Time Marketing, and Family Energy. These companies do not have a solicitor permit issued by the Ithaca Police Department. In at least one instance the solicitor showed the homeowner a solicitor permit that appeared to have been issued by an Ithaca Police Department official however investigation determined it was a forgery. If you suspect that someone has tried to solicit money from you without possessing a solicitor permit, please do not let them into your home and call police at 607-272-3245.
