Troopers say the man who they were chasing Tuesday night is 36-year-old James Giacalone of Glen Aubrey. He was being sought on an arrest warrant is now also accused of driving into a state trooper during the pursuit. It happened on Binghamton’s South Side. The trooper shot the suspect in the face before it came to an end.Both are now in stable condition. The suspect is being treated at Geisinger Medical Center in Pennsylvania, and criminal charges have not yet been announced.The unidentified trooper suffered a minor leg and facial injuries in the exchange, and was treated at Wilson and released.The investigation is ongoing.
