A home on Ketchum Road in Conklin was totally destroyed by fire Saturday evening. The fire was caused by a bucket of ashes put in a combustible container. The ashes were on the back porch and the fire quickly spread from the porch to the rest of the house. The two people in the house were able to escape without injury.
