The New York State Senate Task Force on Heroin and Opioid Addiction will hold a public meeting at Binghamton University on Tuesday February 6th from 5PM to 8PM. Senators Fred Akshar and fellow co-Chairs George Amedore and Chris Jacobs will be holding the to examine the issues faced by the state due to increased heroin and opioid abuse. The forum is intended to hear from local stakeholders in the community, including providers, law enforcement, educators, and family members in order to formulate further recommendations for legislative action. The meeting will be held in the Innovative Technologies Complex Building at 85 Murray Hill Road in Vestal.
