The Johnson City man arrested in one of the biggest gun busts in Broome County history will spend 4 years in jail. Ramadan Abdullah was found guilty in November on 15 counts of criminal possession of a weapon. The investigation began after it was alleged that he stole ammunition from Gander Mountain in Johnson City. When state police obtained a search warrant, they found a number of illegal guns belonging to Abdullah. The defense believes Abdullah was racially profiled and kept his weapons in storage lockers because he was homeless. The prosecution said the case was all about the facts. The defense plans to appeal the sentence.
