The publisher of the Binghamton Press and Sun, the Ithaca Journal, and the Elmira Star Gazette will be cutting 93 jobs in the next few months. The Gannett Company has filed notice that they will be closing their printing facility in Johnson City by June 16th. They will also be cutting two jobs in Elmira and one in Ithaca. The printing of the three Southern Tier newspapers will be moved to Rochester.
