A Waverly couple has been arrested following an investigation into allegations of child abuse. 31-year-old Amber McDuffie has been charged with felony Assault and two counts of misdemeanor Endangering the Welfare of a Child. McDuffie is alleged to have caused a serious
physical injury to a three-year-old. The male child suffered a chemical burn and had to be treated at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania at the time of the incident. McDuffie’s boyfriend, 30-year-old Mark Terry was charged with misdemeanor Endangering the Welfare of a Child. McDuffie and Terry were charged in connection to deep bruising and abrasion injuries to a 22-month-old child in their care. McDuffee was arraigned in the Village of Waverly Court and was sent to the Tioga County NY Jail to await further legal action. Bail was set at $15,000.00 cash or $30,000.00 property bond. Terry was released pending further legal action.
